mask chain length

i aim for 8”-8.25” chains by default. this works on a wide variety of masks. it needs to be 9"+
for duckbills, or being worn across the front panel of some trifolds where the straps attach behind the filter, like auras.
i can customize the length of any mask chain you order from me!to find the best chain length for your mask, measure the distance from strap to strap while you wear the mask, positioning the measuring tape where you want the chain to lay (image below). i usually add .25”-.5” to the exact measurement to allow the chain to hang nicely, so let me know if your measurement already accounts for this looseness.
you can also use a string, chain, or other flexible item in place of a tape measure- just hold it up to a ruler afterward to find the length (image below).you can still wear a mask chain that’s “too long” over the nose by sliding the chain clasps up the straps toward your ears, which pulls it taut (image below). if the chain is particularly heavy (which i will confirm when you order), it will slide back down the straps on its own & should be made as short as possible for your mask.i can also attach a hook (for free) to the center of the mask chain to hang it from the top edge of the mask (or front ridge on an aura/trifold), which lets a longer chain drape comfortably over your mask! unfortunately it won't work on the top-most edge of an aura or any other mask with nose foam that seals right to the edge. most pricing is sliding scale. those who are able to pay at the high end of the range allow me to offer the low end to those who need it.i take venmo, paypal, or cashapp.shipping is $5 in the us and $16-19 international. free us / discounted international shipping for any order with 2 or more items from my shop! metals: i usually work with stainless steel, aluminum, and metal alloys. please let me know if you have a sensitivity to nickel (or anything else) and i can show you my nickel-free options.
beads: i use glass, ceramic, crystal, stone, pearl, shell, and metal. i don’t use plastic beads unless noted in the post caption.
i get many of my supplies secondhand & have a lot of random beads. if you are interested in any specific color, material, or charm theme, just ask! i’m also happy to order specific components for your piece if i don’t have what you’re looking for.order timeline
orders usually go out in under 1-2 weeks. it may be on the longer side right after i’ve posted new mask chains, and for custom pieces (especially ones with chainmail).
however, i can get pieces done and shipped in as little as a day or two if needed, so let me know if you have a deadline and i’ll do my best to make it work!
in the us, shipping is typically 2-5 business days. for all other destinations, shipping could be up to a few weeks (but is usually close to a week, using ups).repairs & other issues
i’m happy to repair any damaged piece for free. i’m also happy to help troubleshoot repairs virtually if you prefer.

basic mask chains

$7 each, $1 to add charms (1 pair per mask by default) or $2 for a pair of charms on their own clasps separate from a chaino, p, q, and r can be made with either gold or silver clasps. (by default i make all with silver, except p which is gold.)r is anodized rainbow and reflects different colors based on the angle of light (ranging different dark jewel tones- magenta, blue, green, etc).(click to enlarge images & view captions)

i love making customs!helpful info to include when requesting a custom mask chain:
-will it be partially/mostly plain chain, fully beaded, or chainmail (or something else)
-do you want gold, silver, or mixed metals
-specific colors you want to include (or avoid)
-specific elements to include (iridescence, pearls, etc)
